[WATCH]- PBKS Star’s Spot-On Top-Two Prediction Goes Viral After IPL 2025 Clash with MI

A video featuring Punjab Kings (PBKS) star batter Shashank Singh accurately predicting his team would finish in the top two has gone viral following their IPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Monday, May 26. The match took place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Prior to the start of IPL 2025, Shashank made the bold prediction during a podcast on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, stating that PBKS would secure a spot in the top two. He said:

“Punjab Kings number one. Top two mai bol raha hu Punjab Kings one finish karega points table pe. Jis din 14th match hoga mai aapko message karunga ki sir aap please mera podcast wapas chalao (Punjab Kings number one.”

“I am saying in top two, Punjab Kings will finish at one on the points table. The day the 14th match is over I will message you sir asking you to please play my podcast again).”

PBKS Secure Top-Two Finish with Dominant Win Over MI

Just as Shashank Singh had predicted earlier, PBKS have secured a top-two finish by defeating MI in their final league stage encounter. Mumbai, batting first, put up a competitive score of 184/7 in their allotted 20 overs. However, Punjab chased it down with ease, reaching the target in just 18.3 overs while losing only three wickets.

Priyansh Arya played a scintillating innings, scoring 62 off 35 balls with nine fours and two sixes. Josh Inglis also starred with the bat, hammering 73 runs from just 42 deliveries, including nine boundaries and three sixes. With this emphatic win, PBKS now sit at the top of the points table.

They finish the league stage with nine victories and 19 points from 14 matches. The team will now compete in Qualifier 1 and are just one win away from booking their place in the IPL 2025 final. It has been an outstanding season for PBKS, positioning them as strong contenders for the championship.
