During the morning session of the fourth Test between India and Australia at the MCG, a pitch invader slipped past security and attempted to hug Virat Kohli. The intruder evaded both security personnel and a visibly angry Rohit Sharma, who tried to intervene.
One such incident took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground when a fan, with a Ukraine flag draped on their back, ran onto the field and embraced Kohli. The security personnel on duty acted swiftly, rushing towards the field and handling the situation by escorting the fan off the ground.
The incident briefly halted play before security escorted the invader off the field. Kohli appeared displeased with the disruption. Additionally, Kohli faced boos from the crowd, seemingly in response to a heated exchange with Australian debutant Sam Konstas on Day 1, following a collision during a run.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, fielding at the time, showed his disappointment over the incident. The disruption caused only a brief pause before play quickly resumed.
Team India aims to chase down Australia’s first-innings total in the fourth Test of the BGT 2024-25
Australia won the toss and opted to bat first, putting up a total of 474 runs. The innings was powered by Steve Smith’s century (140 off 197) and half-centuries from Sam Konstas (60 off 65), Usman Khawaja (57 off 121), and Marnus Labuschagne (72 off 145).
Team India began their reply with the bat but suffered an early setback as skipper Rohit Sharma (3 off 5) was dismissed cheaply. Currently, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal are at the crease, with the score at 35/1 after 10 overs. India will look to win this Test and strengthen their chances of reaching a third World Test Championship final.
