An amusing moment unfolded on Day 3 of the second Test between West Indies and Australia at the National Cricket Stadium in St. George’s, Grenada, when play was briefly halted due to an unexpected pitch invader — a dog. The incident took place during the 33rd over of West Indies’ second innings, with the hosts at 124/4.
The dog ran onto the field near the deep cover area, causing a short delay. Despite efforts by Australian skipper Pat Cummins and pacer Josh Hazlewood to guide the dog off the field, their attempts proved unsuccessful. In a unique turn of events, broadcasters intervened by deploying a drone to help resolve the situation.
The drone flew toward the dog, startling it enough to prompt it to exit the playing area. Once the animal was off the field, play resumed. The dog appeared visibly startled by the encounter with the drone. You can watch the video here:

West Indies Keep Hopes Alive In Second Test Battle
Australia posted 286 in their first innings of the ongoing second Test, before dismissing West Indies for 253 to secure a narrow lead. The visitors then took control for much of Day 3, reaching 221/7 by stumps in their second innings and extending their overall lead to 254 runs.
Steve Smith anchored the innings with a composed 71 off 119 deliveries, while Cameron Green contributed a gritty 52 from 123 balls. With just three wickets remaining, Australia will aim to stretch their lead further on Day 4. The pitch has begun to show signs of deterioration, which could make batting increasingly difficult.
Australia may already have enough on the board to challenge the hosts. However, West Indies remain in the game, thanks to the seven wickets they’ve claimed so far. To keep their slim hopes alive, they’ll need to wrap up the Australian innings quickly and chase a manageable target.
