In the ongoing KKR and PBKS match in Ahmedabad, Rahul Tripathi Held onto a brilliant diving catch to dismiss Mayank Agarwal. Tripathi was always going for the catch after Agarwal chipped a back of a length Sunil Narine delivery to mid-wicket.
The Punjab Kings opener was probably looking to find the game between mid-wicket and deep square leg and score a boundary. However, he ended up lobbing it to Tripathi’s direct who was a couple of yards in from the boundary.
Rahul Tripathi Takes A Tumble But Completes An Excellent Catch
Rahul Tripathi knew the importance of Agarwal’s wicket and leapt forward to take the catch. The ball stuck in Tripathi’s hands but he ended up taking a tumble. Agarwal should have looked to execute a full-fledged pull shot rather than placing the ball.
Eventually, the ball didn’t drop and Tripathi took one best of the catch of IPL 2021. He celebrated his brilliant catch and Kolkata Knight Riders removed a well Mayank Agarwal. Tripathi took a complete 360-degree turn after taking a fall but more importantly didn’t grass the catch.
He was looking to accelerate and give the innings some momentum but ended up making 31 runs from 34 balls. Meanwhile, Rahul Tripathi will be now keen to score in the second half when KKR chases on a tricky pitch.

Furthermore, Punjab Kings are currently 91 for 6 after 16 overs. Power hitter Shahrukh Khan and Chris Jordan will be aiming to take a total near 150 runs which will be a competitive total.
