Royal Challengers Bangalore faced a heavy defeat against Punjab Kings at Brabourne Stadium in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League. RCB never got any momentum in their chase of 210. With this win, Mayank Agarwal and co. are still alive in the race of playoffs.

During the ninth over of the run chase, an unfortunate incident happened which grabbed the attention of cricket fans. Rajat Patidar hit a huge six on the length ball of Harpreet Brar. Patidar timed the ball perfectly and it travelled towards the long on region. Ball sailed into the crowds.

However, the ball struck the fan’s head in the crowd. It was an unfortunate incident. The fan looked like an old man. After being struck on the head, the woman sitting beside the old man immediately held his head with her hands. Later on, the fan looked okay despite being hit with great force on the head.

Virat Kohli once again failed to create his impact in this IPL season. However, RCB skipper Faf Du Plessis believes that Virat would be back among runs. Faf said

” He (Kohli) is seeing the lighter side of it, every single way that you can possibly get out, is happening to him. That’s how the game works. All you can do is to keep trying hard, work hard and stay positive. “

The way Jonny and Livi batted was amazing- Mayank Agarwal

Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone were the two shining stars in this win for Punjab Kings. Bairstow gave a fiery start to Punjab in the powerplay. He smashed Hazlewood and Siraj all around the ground. Later Livingstone cashed on this amazing start. He scored 70 runs in 42 balls which helped PBKS reach a total of 209 runs.

“The way Jonny and Livi batted was amazing. We haven’t changed a lot to be honest, just about understanding a few situations. Have to be adaptable and flexible. Can’t be too defensive with the ball. If a batsman get going, it doesn’t matter, the boundaries don’t matter these days.” said Mayank Agarwal in post match presentation.
