Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) finished third on the points table before the IPL 2021 season was suspended. A lot of the credit goes to the bowlers. Unlike the other years, this time around their bowlers came up with better performances. The likes of Harshal Patel, Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj stood up to the occasion apart from the ever-reliable Yuzvendra Chahal.

Meanwhile, in a recent video posted on RCB’s official Twitter handle, their bowlers can be seen taking up the ‘yorker challenge’. Siraj, Saini and all-rounder Dan Christian bowled the overs turn by turn. They bowled 30 balls between themselves aiming at the yorker length and nailed majority of them.

RCB won five out of their first seven games and was on 10 points before the league was suspended. It happened at a very wrong time for the Virat Kohli-led side who had good momentum throughout the tournament. RCB lost against Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings in their first seven games.

The rescheduled IPL will start either from 19 or 20th September in the UAE. The final will be played on October 10. Meanwhile the second phase clashes against the T20 Word Cup dates. The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), the host organizer of the ICC tournament, has given assurances to the BCCI and agreed to make flexible provisions for the IPL scheduling, a development confirmed to Cricbuzz by a BCCI member.

The remaining 31 matches of IPL 2021 will be split into 10 double headers, 7 single headers, and 4 playoffs, which will be fit into the 21-day window the BCCI hopes to create before the ICC T20 World Cup.

The report added that the Caribbean Premier League, supposed to be held from August 28 to September 19, will be readjusted.
