On day one of the Test series opener against Sri Lanka at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was caught imitating the batting stance of South Africa batter Faf du Plessis, in the dressing room. In the viral video, Rohit can be seen shadow batting exactly like Du Plessis during the 43d over of the Indian 1st innings.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma got off to a quick start with the bat on Day 1, but he was eventually dismissed by Lahiru Kumara for 29 runs off 28 deliveries. The pacer bowled a short-pitched delivery and enticed Rohit to play his favourite hook shot.
Rohit attempted to knock it over fine leg for a six but Suranga Lakmal caught him at the boundary line.

Want to make Virat Kohli’s 100th Test special – Rohit Sharma
On Thursday, Rohit Sharma talked about Virat Kohli’s milestone of completing 100 Test matches. He stated that it has been a beautiful journey for Virat. He praised Virat’s leadership for developing and implementing a vision for the test team.
Rohit remarked that the entire team wants to make the 100th test a special one for Virat Kohli.
“It has been [an] absolutely brilliant journey for him [Virat Kohli]. A long one. To go on and play 100 Tests, it has been a wonderful journey. He has done exceedingly well in this particular format. Changed so many things in the way the team is moving forward. It has been brilliant to watch that. It has been one hell of a ride for him and it will continue to be in the years to come. We definitely want to make it a special one for him,” said Rohit in the pre-match press conference.
