Star Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma is currently vacationing in Italy with his family during the ongoing Test series between India and England. While the Indian team is in England for a five-match series and recently faced a five-wicket loss in the opening Test at Leeds, Rohit is making the most of his time off.

After the conclusion of IPL 2025, Rohit Sharma spent some time in Abu Dhabi with his family before continuing his vacation in Italy. The veteran batter had announced his retirement from Test cricket prior to the England series.

Over the course of his red-ball career, Rohit represented India in 67 Tests, amassing 4,301 runs at an average of 40.57, which included 12 centuries and 18 fifties.

Rohit Sharma Recalls Triumph Over Pakistan And India’s 2024 T20 World Cup Victory

In a recent interview on JioHotstar, Rohit Sharma reflected on India’s memorable win over Pakistan and their 2024 T20 World Cup triumph. Recalling the intense match, he highlighted how India defended a modest total of 119, successfully restricting Pakistan to 113/7 to secure a nail-biting six-run victory.

“Kaafi grand stadium lag raha tha. (The stadium looked pretty grand). We completely took the pitch out of the equation. We wanted them to chase. Mere paas Bumrah ke saath saath Arshdeep bhi hai (Along with Bumrah I had Arshdeep as well),” Rohit stated.

The 38-year-old remarked that defeating Pakistan alone wouldn’t have meant much if India hadn’t gone on to win the World Cup, calling such a scenario a complete disaster.

“Agar Pakistan ko hara diya aur World Cup nahin jeeta, toh chalega? Nahi chalega (If we beat Pakistan and do not win the World Cup, will it be okay? It’s not okay),” he said.
