[WATCH] Rohit Sharma Hugs Ravindra Jadeja After Winning The 2nd Test

In the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday, India defeated Australia by six wickets in the second Test. Rohit Sharma gave Ravindra Jadeja a bear hug in the team’s locker room. In the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 series, India won and took a 2-0 lead thanks in large part to both Jadeja and Sharma.

After Cheteshwar Pujara scored the game-winning stroke in his 100th Test match, the BCCI released a compilation video of the Indian athletes’ celebrations. In the two-minute clip, Rohit Sharma delivered a massive hug to Ravindra Jadeja while KS Bharat was seen rejoicing with Pujara in the middle.

Here’s the video where Rohit Sharma can be seen hugging Ravindra Jadeja:

“We have to try things slightly differently by thinking differently” – Rohit Sharma

Then, Rohit stepped onto the field and praised Pujara for his 31-run performance. Moreover, Suryakumar Yadav praised Pujara for scoring the winning runs in his 100th Test match, and Rahul Dravid praised skipper Rohit for taking a commanding 2-0 lead in the four-match series against Australia.

Yet, after another defeat on Indian soil, the Australian players shook hands with their rivals and went back to the dressing room.
Australia started Day 3 in Delhi in a respectable position. They had nine wickets in hand and a lead of 62 runs in the second innings, but Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja combined to bowl them out for just 113 runs.

The Indians took 9 wickets for a mere 52 runs on Day-3 of the second test match.

In the post-match presentation Captain, Rohit Sharma said,“We know that on this pitch, we have to try things slightly differently by thinking differently. So Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja expected their batters to try the sweep shot a lot more. The plans were in place for that.”

The third test match will begin on 1st March at Indore.
