Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma humorously took a dig at captain Rajat Patidar after their victory over Delhi Capitals (DC). RCB triumphed by six wickets, moving to the top of the points table.
In the post-match discussion, Jitesh praised the performances of debutant Jacob Bethell and Tim David for their batting contributions. However, he couldn’t resist poking fun at Rajat Patidar, who managed only six runs from six balls before being run out during the chase.
“Rajat, nothing,” Jitesh said while talking about the RCB skipper’s performance.
The captain responded with a humorous remark to his teammate’s playful jab.
“Nothing bol raha hai (He said nothing),” he said with a cheeky smile on his face.
When Rajat made his statement, Jitesh Sharma quickly fired back with another witty reply.
“Batting mein kya ukhada isne? (What did he do with the bat?),” he said.
In the end, Patidar wrapped up by saying that it was fine since they ultimately won the match.
“Chal theek, hai match jeet gaye na! (It’s fine, we won the game),” the skipper told.

Is Rajat Patidar’s form becoming a concern for RCB?
While Rajat Patidar has been highly successful as the captain this season, his performance as a batter has not been up to par. He started the tournament strong with a couple of attractive fifties in the early games.
However, he has struggled to find his rhythm in the recent matches. His scores over the last five innings have been 6, 1, 12, 23, and 25. Overall, he has accumulated 228 runs from nine innings this season, with an average of 25.33 and a strike rate of 147.09.
Patidar, known for attacking spin in the middle overs, is crucial to RCB’s batting. While the team is close to qualification with 14 points, the captain’s recent lack of runs could be a concern. With crucial games ahead for a top-two finish, RCB will need Patidar to regain his form with the bat.
