Regarding the match, Mumbai Indians extended their winning run with a convincing 54-run victory over LSG, further solidifying their spot on the points table. MI now hold the second position with 12 points, while LSG sit in sixth place with 10 points.

Jasprit Bumrah Shines With Season-Best Spell In IPL 2025

Speedster Jasprit Bumrah was instrumental in Mumbai Indians’ dominant victory over LSG. MI set a formidable target of 215/7 while batting first. Bumrah then spearheaded the bowling attack, claiming four wickets and finishing with impressive figures of 4/22 in his four-over spell.

He dismissed Aiden Markram, David Miller, Abdul Samad, and Avesh Khan, marking his finest performance of the IPL 2025 season so far. Though he needed a few matches to regain his rhythm after returning from injury, Bumrah has consistently lived up to expectations, anchoring MI’s bowling unit.

So far this season, Bumrah has featured in six games, taking nine wickets at an average of 20, with an economy of 7.50 and a strike rate of 16. His contributions have been crucial in Mumbai’s resurgence, especially after their poor start where they lost four of their first five games.

With this win over LSG, Mumbai have now registered five victories in a row. Their next challenge is against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Thursday, May 1.
