Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Rajasthan Royals’ 14-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a rapid 32-ball century for India A against the UAE in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 on Friday, November 14—just a day before the IPL 2026 retention deadline. The game is taking place at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

India A captain Jitesh Sharma opted to bat first, and Vaibhav exploded from the outset, racing to a half-century in just 17 balls. The young left-hander kept the momentum going, reaching his hundred in only 32 deliveries with a boundary. This effort bettered his previous fastest century, 35 balls, scored for the Rajasthan Royals against the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025.

Sooryavanshi kept the momentum going even after reaching his century, hammering Harshit Kaushik for four straight sixes and a four in the 11th over. He eventually wrapped up his innings with a stunning 144 off just 42 deliveries, featuring 11 boundaries and 15 sixes.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 144 Powers India A To 297 vs UAE In Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025

Choosing to bat first in their Rising Stars Asia Cup clash against the UAE, India A stumbled early as Priyansh Arya fell for 10 off six balls in the second over. But Naman Dhir’s arrival at No. 3 turned the innings around. He and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi produced a massive 163-run stand in just 57 deliveries.

Naman added a steady 34 from 23 balls with three fours and two sixes, while Sooryavanshi powered his way to a century before ending on a remarkable 144. Captain Jitesh Sharma then accelerated the scoring, smashing a rapid fifty off 24 balls.

He stayed unbeaten on 83 from 32 deliveries, striking eight boundaries and six sixes, as India A piled up a colossal 297/4 in 20 overs. In reply, UAE reached 16/0 after two overs and still needed 282 runs to begin their Rising Stars Asia Cup campaign with a victory.
