[WATCH]- Sachin Tendulkar And Bill Gates Unite Over Vadapav, Announce Social Initiative Partnership

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has revealed that his foundation will collaborate with former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates’ foundation for a special social initiative. The announcement of the partnership between the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation and the Gates Foundation comes shortly after a video of Tendulkar and Gates enjoying Vadapav and playing Crennis went viral.

The two global icons relished Mumbai’s iconic street food, Vadapav, before engaging in a friendly game of Crennis—a fusion of Tennis and Cricket. Soon after, their foundations officially declared the partnership, with Sachin, his wife Anjali, and Bill Gates exchanging jerseys.

This collaboration aims to promote the holistic development of children, emphasizing their role as Partners in Progress. Currently on his third visit to India, Gates hinted that this initiative aligns with the 25th anniversary of his foundation.

The video posted by Sachin Tendulkar on X quickly went viral, garnering over 12,000 likes on the platform. It has also amassed nearly half a million views so far.

“Sport teaches us teamwork, life demands the same,” Tendulkar stated in the video subtly hinting about the partnership as well.

This partnership is focused on creating lasting, sustainable improvements in the lives of underprivileged communities.

“We aim to create a lasting impact in healthcare, nutrition, and education”- Sachin Tendulkar

In a press release, Sachin Tendulkar explained the workings of this partnership, stating that both foundations will focus on creating a lasting impact in healthcare, education, and nutrition. Here’s what he shared:

“We look forward to making a lasting impact across healthcare, nutrition, and education together. Every child deserves a fair chance at a better future.”

Tendulkar recently represented India Masters in the International Masters League, leading the team to victory as captain in the inaugural IML championship.
