Renowned cricketer Sachin Tendulkar visited the Surya Temple in Jammu & Kashmir to seek blessings on Thursday, February 22. This visit occurred two days after his arrival in Kashmir, a prominent destination in India. The 50-year-old is enjoying his inaugural trip to the union territory.
In a video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), a priest, self-identified as a big fan of Tendulkar, touched the cricketer’s feet. Tendulkar, often referred to as the ‘God of Cricket,’ responded promptly with a hand-folding gesture while bowing his head. The priest remarked:
“Ham bahot bade fan hai aapke, ham yahan ke pandit ji hai (I am huge fan of you, I am the priest here).”
Subsequently, Tendulkar participated in rituals within the temple, guided by the priest. His wife, Anjali, and daughter, Sara, accompanied him during the visit.
