[Watch]- Sai Sudharsan Takes A ‘Toilet-Break’ In The Middle Of The Match Against Punjab Kings

Over rate refers to the average number of Overs bowled by a fielding side in an hour of play. As per ICC rules, in the T20 format, the teams have to maintain an over rate of 14.11. We have already seen many captains being fined for slow over-rate in IPL 2022.

Match 16 of the ongoing tournament also saw a delay during the game. Before the 9th over, Gujarat Titans batter Sai Sudharsan went off the field, possibly for a toilet break.

What surprised the fans was that he was given the permission for it. Since one over later a strategic time-out had to be taken anyways.
