[WATCH]- Sandeep Sharma Dismisses Heinrich Klaasen With A Brilliant Delivery In the SRH vs RR IPL 2024 Qualifier 2

Sandeep Sharma bowled an exceptional delivery to dismiss Heinrich Klaasen during the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2 between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Chepauk on Friday, May 24. Using a slower yorker, Sandeep sent Klaasen back to the pavilion after he scored 50 runs off 34 balls, including four sixes. This reduced SRH to 163/7.

The wicket fell on the first ball of the 19th over of SRH’s innings. Sandeep delivered a perfect yorker that dipped on Klaasen, catching him completely off guard. The ball slipped under the bat and struck the base of the leg stump. The dismissal sparked contrasting reactions from the two dugouts and was crucial in helping RR limit SRH’s total.

Sandeep Sharma concluded with impressive bowling figures of 4-0-25-2, which included the crucial wicket of Sunrisers opener Travis Head. Klaasen, maintaining his strong form in IPL 2024, scored a half-century and has now accumulated 463 runs in 14 innings, featuring four fifties.

Heinrich Klaasen’s half-century propels SRH to set a 176-run target for RR in the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2

Heinrich Klaasen’s fifty contributed to SRH reaching a total of 175/9 against RR in IPL 2024 Qualifier 2. He joined the innings at 57/3 and steadied the scoring pace despite frequent wicket losses.

In addition to Klaasen’s contribution, Rahul Tripathi and Travis Head added 37 (15) and 34 (28) runs, respectively. Shahbaz Ahmed, the impactful substitute, also contributed 18 runs from as many balls.

Trent Boult and Avesh Khan claimed three wickets each for the Royals, while Sandeep Sharma secured two dismissals. Notably, Boult dismissed key players Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, and the in-form Rahul Tripathi, aiding RR’s dominance over SRH from the outset.

The Royals arrive following a four-wicket victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore, while SRH suffered a defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Qualifier 1. The victor of the current match will confront the Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 final at the same venue on May 26.
