The Sydney Cricket Ground witnessed some interesting moments during the India vs Netherlands match on Thursday, October 27 in the 2022 T20 World Cup. Team India batters, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav light up the stadium with their stunning batting performance. Another interesting incident took place during the game when a man proposed to his girlfriend in the stadium.

The International Cricket Council took to social media to share the video of the incident. A man sitting in the crowd during the game went down on his knees and proposed to his girlfriend. The woman seemed to be taken aback by surprise. She eventually said yes, as the crowd cheered the couple.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media. Sharing the video, the ICC wrote, “She said yes 💍 #T20WorldCup #Cricket #CricketReels”

Very happy with the way things went: Suryakumar Yadav

Team India cricketer Suryakumar Yadav has been in stupendous form in T20Is off late. He has a staggering average of 39.67, scoring 1111 runs in his 35 matches T20I career. Recently, the right-handed batter slammed a 25-ball fifty against the Netherlands in the 2022 T20 World Cup at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Suryakumar Yadav put together a partnership of 95-runs with Virat Kohli for the third wicket stand. India managed to score 179 runs in the first innings and eventually won the match by 56 runs. Speaking about batting with Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav said,

“Very happy with the way things went. Really enjoying batting with him (Kohli), the thoughts are very clear when we both are batting. If I get few boundaries earlier then our partnership needs to be stretched and that’s what we are doing.”
