Shikhar Dhawan is an energy powerhouse. He is quite active on social media where he posts a lot of dancing, funny and sometimes emotional videos. He along with Yuzvendra Chahal had recently made a hilarious Instagram reel at National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru. An NCA employee also featured in that video, where both the cricketers were  seen performing a short act, with a famous Bollywood song playing in the background.

On Wednesday, Shikhar posted some more videos on his Instagram handle. He was accompanied by a group of groundsmen this time. In one of the videos, Shikhar Dhawan can been rolling the pitch with some assistance from the ground staff.

In another clip, he can be seen making the groundsmen do his famous ‘thigh-five’ celebration. He also performs some hilarious dance steps along with them in the end.

The video is most likely from the Chinnaswamy stadium where the NCA is located. Reportedly, The BCCI has asked 25 contracted and non-contracted players to report to the National Cricket Academy for a fitness assessment ahead of IPL 2022.

In the caption of his post, Shlkhar Dhawan appreciated the groundsmen for the hardwork they put on the field to ensure that the match is properly held.

Shikhar Dhawan to play for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022

In the IPL 2022 mega-auctions, Punjab Kings bought Shikhar Dhawan for Rs 8.25 crore. Shikhar has been one of IPL’s most consistent players. During the 2020 season, he made history by becoming the first batter in IPL history to smash two back-to-back hundreds.

Shikhar is the second-highest run-scorer in the IPL, with 5784 runs in 192 matches. Only RCB’s Virat Kohli is ahead of him.
