Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh celebrates his 42nd birthday today, July 3, 2022. His teammates and fans poured in wishes for the off-spinner. They recalled his illustrious cricketing career and wished him the best for the future. Indian batter Shikhar Dhawan, who often posts funny videos on Instagram, also shared a post to wish the former cricketer on his birthday.

Dhawan posted a hilarious video on his Instagram profile for Harbhajan Singh. Interestingly, the off-spinner is also part of the video. In the clip, Dhawan wishes Harbhajan Singh on his birthday, and also asks for a birthday party. Harbhajan replies Thank You and asks for a gift first.

Shikhar Dhawan captioned the video as “Paaji, party? Wish you a very happy birthday, Paaji! @harbhajan3.”

Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir too wished Harbhajan Singh on his birthday. He wrote, Happy Birthday Bhajji pa! You may be done with bowling, but you can never be done with entertaining! Keep shining brother @harbhajan_singh”

Last year, Harbhajan Singh represented the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. He announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in December 2021. The off-spinner last played for India against UAE in the 2016 Asia Cup match. He picked one wicket in the match, conceding eleven runs in his four overs.

Harbhajan Singh’s cricketing career

Harbhajan Singh made his international debut for India in March 1998 against Australia in the Bengaluru Test match. Since then, he represented the country in 367 matches across formats. The off-spinner has bagged 711 international wickets in his decorated career.

In 2002, Harbhajan Singh became the first Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in Test cricket. He ranks fourth in the list of most wickets for India in Test cricket. In the Indian Premier League, the former cricketer has played for several franchises. He has taken 64 wickets at an average of 15.15 in the tournament.
