KKR captain Shreyas Iyer was the home captain for this match. Iyer tossed the coin in the air and it flew some distance from both the captains. Eventually, it landed heads in favour of the LSG captain KL Rahul. Both the captains shared some funny words after this incident.

KL Rahul reacted to it in a cheeky manner. He said “Udhar daal de aur” (Throw it away further) to Shreyas after he tossed the coin at far distance. Eventually KL Rahul elected to bat first after winning the toss. This moment brought a smile on the face of so many cricket fans.

Last opportunity for us to express ourselves to maximum- Shreyas Iyer’s message to team

Shreyas Iyer at the toss revealed that he would have elected to bat first too considering the fact that LSG doesn’t have a good history while chasing. Iyer said “If you see the history of their team, they have not been so solid while chasing. We have been really good while batting first. (Message to the team) I’ve just told them that this is going to be our last opportunity for us to express ourselves to the maximum.”

While on the other hand , KL Rahul was optimistic of LSG reaching top 2 position despite having last 2 bad games. Rahul said “Couple of bad games is not going to change it. We need to turn up, start fresh, try to win this game and enjoy it. We’ll focus all of our energy on this game. We do have quality in that middle-order, everyone’s experienced, they’ve played enough.”
