[WATCH] Star Gujarat Titans Player Joins The Team Ahead Of IPL 2025

Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill has joined the team’s camp ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Gill was part of the Indian squad that clinched the 2025 Champions Trophy earlier this month with a victory over New Zealand in the final.

Gill took over GT’s leadership last year after Hardik Pandya was traded to Mumbai Indians (MI) during the off-season. In his debut season as captain, he led the team in 12 matches, securing five wins and suffering seven losses. GT finished eighth in the points table, ahead of only Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.

Having won the IPL title in 2022 and finished as runners-up in 2023, the Titans will be eager for a strong comeback this season under the young and dynamic leadership of Gill. The franchise welcomed their skipper with a social media post featuring his arrival.

Aakash Chopra praises Gujarat Titans’ reliable top order ahead of IPL 2025

Former India cricketer recently analyzed Gujarat Titans’ key strengths as they prepare for the upcoming IPL season. He emphasized that their top three batters—Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler—will play a crucial role in the team’s success.

The ex-cricketer-turned-commentator also suggested that Buttler, GT’s high-profile signing from Rajasthan Royals, could be a game-changer. He is expected to open alongside captain Gill, with Sudharsan taking the No. 3 spot.

“The top three are extremely reliable and consistent, and are the ones who will bat long. Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler – you won’t get a more stable top three than this.”

”You might get an explosive one but this is a very stable top three. They spent a lot of money on Jos Buttler, saying they need him there, and he can be that game changer,” Chopra said in a video shared on his YouTube channel.
