Trent Boult is known to be a terrific fielder in the outfield but even he can lose the plot sometimes. Yesterday during the Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad match in IPL 2021, Boult’s bizarre dive while trying to stop a boundary left everyone in splits.
The fast bowler was fielding mid-off when David Warner drove a ball to his left. At first, it seemed Boult will easily stop the ball but it kept going further and further away from him.

He then tried to chase the delivery in a hilarious manner as if he was Swimming in a pool which confused the entire MI team. Eventually, Boult decided to put a desperate dive but couldn’t stop the boundary. Boult was embarrassed with his fielding effort as he knew he could have done a far better job. The bowler Krunal Pandya gave him a glaring look whereas Rohit Sharma had a smirk on his face.

Meanwhile, Boult may have been ordinary with his fielding effort but was again top class with the ball in hand. The combination of Bumrah and Boult once again choked the opposition in the death overs and helped MI with their second match of IPL 2021. Boult had brilliant bowling figures of 3 for 28 as he was top class during pressure situation and didn’t allow SRH batsmen to execute big strokes.
Furthermore, Mumbai India won the contest by 13 runs and for the second match in a row, SRH failed to chase down the target after a flying start. Apart from Warner and Bairstow no other batsmen could get going as they crumbled in the run chase.
