After a brilliant victory in the ODI and the T20I series against England, the Indian cricket team is gearing up for the limited-overs series against West Indies. They will be playing a three-match ODI series followed by five T20Is against the hosts. The BCCI uploaded a video from the India team’s net session in Trinidad, on their social media platforms.

The 16-member Indian squad reached the Port of Spain from Manchester, England for the ODI series on Tuesday afternoon. As the Indian team reached the Queens Park Oval, the rain hampered their practice session. However, the Men in Blue had an indoor net session to prepare for the upcoming ODI series. Indian batter Shubman Gill gave a sneak peek into India’s practice session through a video uploaded on BCCI’s social media handles.

“Gearing up for ODI No.1 against the West Indies. Here’s @ShubmanGill giving a lowdown on #TeamIndia‘s first net session in Trinidad#WIvIND,” the BCCI captioned the video.

Speaking about India’s net session at the Queens Park Oval, Shubman Gill revealed that it was good to spend time in the nets. He expressed that he worked on a few specific things regarding his batting. The Indian cricketer also added that the team is excited about the upcoming ODIs.

“We just came from the UK, so we thought that a net session will be better. However, it started raining, so we had to practice indoors. It feels good as a batter to spend some time batting, it was a good session. I focused on some specific things, like playing against the underarm balls. I am feeling great and all are really excited and buzzed about the three ODIs,” said Shubman Gill in the BCCI video.
