Team India’s preparations for the 2025 Asia Cup are underway, with players starting to arrive in Dubai in groups. The tournament begins on September 9, with Suryakumar Yadav’s men drawn in Group A alongside hosts UAE, Pakistan, and Oman. Group B will see Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong battle it out.

In a departure from the usual routine, the Indian squad did not gather in Mumbai before departure. Instead, members are flying separately and joining the team directly in Dubai. The first group to land featured captain Suryakumar Yadav, all-rounder Shivam Dube, and batting coach Sitanshu Kotak.

Soon after, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Rinku Singh, and Abhishek Sharma arrived as part of the second batch. You can watch the video here:

Team India Announce Squad And Match Schedule For Asia Cup 2025

India’s Asia Cup 2025 journey will begin against hosts UAE on Wednesday, September 10, in Dubai. The much-anticipated clash with Pakistan is set for Sunday, September 14, at the same venue, before the group stage wraps up with a match against Oman on Friday, September 19, in Abu Dhabi.

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side, with Test captain Shubman Gill named as vice-captain. The tournament also sees the return of pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah to T20I action, making his first appearance since the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Standby players: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Washington Sundar, Prasidh Krishna, Riyan Parag, and Dhruv Jurel.
