Team India is gearing up for the second ODI against South Africa, which will take place on Sunday, October 9 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. The Board of Control for Cricket in India shared a video on social media from India’s training session. The players were seen honing their skills in the nets. Coach VVS Laxman and Shikhar Dhawan also gave a pep talk to the players ahead of the must-win encounter.

Sharing the video on Twitter, the BCCI wrote, “Preps ✅ #TeamIndia geared up for the 2nd ODI against South Africa. #INDvSA.”

The first ODI match was delayed by rain and was shortened to 40 overs per innings. Batting first South Africa scored 249 runs on the back of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller’s 74* and 75* respectively. Quinton De Kock also contributed valuable 48 runs.

In response, Sanju Samson slammed an unbeaten 86 off 63 deliveries. Shreyas Iyer also scored a fifty in the innings.
