[WATCH]: The IPL 2023 Video Of MS Dhoni Strapping His Knee Has Gone Viral

IPL 2023 was memorable for MS Dhoni in a number of ways. MS Dhoni was praised profusely at every venue right from the start of the edition.

Dhoni was supported by the crowd whenever Chennai Super Kings played, whether it was at home in Chennai or on the road. The Gujarat Titans were defeated by Dhoni’s CSK in Ahmedabad in the final match.

Even Dhoni said he would try to play in another IPL season after the final game. But he added that it would also take a lot of physical effort on his part.

Before deciding on his course of treatment,” Dhoni will consult with a sports orthopedics specialist in Mumbai regarding the condition of his problematic left knee”, according to CEO Kasi Viswanathan on Wednesday.

Recently, a video that shows Dhoni strapping his knee has gone viral on social media.

Dhoni despite appearing to be in perfect condition while keeping wicket, had played the entire IPL season with a heavily strapped left knee. He frequently batted as late as No. 8 and didn’t appear to be moving quickly as he ran between the wickets.

“It is true that Dhoni will consult a doctor about the injury to his left knee and take that advice into consideration when making a decision”. According to Viswanathan, ”the decision to proceed with surgery will solely be made by him”.

The CEO was asked if it was possible that Dhoni would decide not to play next season, freeing up a budget of Rs 15 crore for the mini-auction. Since we haven’t arrived at that point, he said, “Frankly, we are not even thinking along those lines”.

“Dhoni will make the final decision. However, I can assure you that at CSK, we haven’t given those ideas any thought”.
