The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 championship game turned out to be a sporting extravaganza thanks to Ravindra Jadeja’s 10 runs from the game’s final two balls, which helped Chennai Super Kings win.
When Mohit Sharma only gave up 3 runs from the first 4 balls of the game’s final over, everything for GT was going as planned.
However, the veteran pacer’s rhythm appears to have been somewhat disrupted after a brief conversation with captain Hardik Pandya, which former India cricketer Virender Sehwag wasn’t happy to see.
Sehwag attacked Hardik in a chat on Cricbuzz for deciding to step in even though Mohit was able to carry out his plans flawlessly.

Virender Sehwag criticizes Hardik Pandya for acting like Mohit Sharma, asking, “Why go and waste his time?”.
“Why will you go and speak to someone who is bowling well and yorkers when he knows the batter needs 10 from 2 and that he needs to stick with Yorkers?”.
When the bowler is doing his job, you want to finish the over as quickly as possible. If Mohit had been out for runs, he could have come and talked to you.
It’s also possible that the captain was worried about whether the bowler would want any changes made to the field for the final two balls. However, even if I had been there, I wouldn’t have bothered him”, Sehwag said following the game.
Sehwag wasn’t the only person to express disapproval of Hardik’s choice. Sunil Gavaskar, a legend in his native India, was dismayed to see the GT captain disrupt the bowler’s rhythm at such a crucial point in the game.
The end result saw CSK win the IPL title for the fifth time in their history while GT was unable to successfully defend their crown.
