[WATCH]- Toss Victory Sparks Light Celebration From KL Rahul In IND vs SA Finale

Team India skipper KL Rahul had a light moment of celebration after the Men in Blue finally won the toss ahead of the third ODI against South Africa in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, December 6. India had suffered 20 straight toss defeats in ODIs before this match, and the long streak was finally broken.

Rahul marked the moment with a small fist pump and a visibly relieved smile. The crowd joined in the excitement, cheering loudly to the point that he couldn’t initially hear presenter Murali Kartik’s question about what India planned to do after winning the toss. The conversation had to be paused briefly before the question could be repeated.

KL Rahul jokingly remarked that Murali Kartik should conduct the toss more often if India want to keep winning them.

“I think it’s you, you should do more tosses,” he said.

After finally winning the toss, India chose to bowl first, considering the possible impact of dew later in the game. Rahul mentioned that the team wanted to test themselves while chasing and assess their bowling performance upfront. Interestingly, India had batted first in the previous two matches of the series. The hosts made one change to their lineup, with Tilak Varma replacing Washington Sundar.

Men in Blue Look To Clinch The Series In Vizag

The third ODI will serve as the series decider. India claimed the opening match in Ranchi by 17 runs, putting up 349/8 before bowling South Africa out for 332. Virat Kohli delivered a superb 135 off 120 balls, while Kuldeep Yadav picked up four wickets. South Africa responded strongly in the second ODI at Raipur.

India once again set a commanding total, posting 358/5, with Kohli scoring another century (102) and Ruturaj Gaikwad adding a brilliant 105. However, the visitors chased down the target in 49.2 overs with four wickets in hand, led by Aiden Markram’s decisive 110.

India will now look to bounce back in Visakhapatnam and clinch the series. Having already gone down 0-2 in the Test series, the hosts will be determined to avoid another series loss.
