Team India cricketer Parshavi Chopra received a grand welcome in Greater Noida from her family and friends on Thursday, February 2 after the U19 World Cup winner arrived at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi. The Indian team defeated England in the finals to win the inaugural edition of the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup last month in South Africa.

Parshavi Chopra played a vital role for the team in their historic achievement. She took eleven wickets in the six matches, at an average of 7 and an economy rate of 3.66. The leg-spinner was the second-leading wicket-taker in the tournament. Her performance in the finals, taking two wickets set the stage for a great win. On Thursday, ANI shared a video from Parshavi Chopra’s reception in Greater Noida. In the video, the Indian cricketer can be seen with her family and loved ones, who were delighted to welcome her.

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar delivered a passionate speech at the Narendra Modi Stadium during the felicitation ceremony of the U19 Women’s team. Parshavi Chopra expressed that it was great to hear Sachin’s message. She also revealed her dream, which is to do well in the Women’s Premier League and eventually play for India.

“Dreams are being fulfilled slowly. Sachin Tendulkar is one of the greatest batsmen and the God of cricket. So it was great to hear his speech for us,” Parshavi told ANI.

“Winning the inaugural Under 19 Women’s World Cup and performing well in it was great. It is a big thing that India won the inaugural World Cup. My dream is to be a part of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) and perform well and play for the Indian team,” she added.
