India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Rajasthan Royals (RR) star batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family following the young player’s outstanding IPL 2025 season. The 14-year-old impressed everyone with a remarkable debut campaign.

The meeting took place at Patna Airport, and the Prime Minister shared photos of the encounter on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. In the images, Modi is seen warmly greeting Vaibhav and engaging with his parents, while also extending his best wishes to the promising teenager for his future.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi joins India’s U19 squad for England tour after a strong IPL 2025 season

Bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for ₹1.1 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, Vaibhav Suryavanshi impressed everyone with a spectacular season. The left-handed opener scored 252 runs in seven matches, maintaining an average of 36 and an impressive strike rate of 206.55.

On April 28 against Gujarat Titans, Suryavanshi became the youngest to score a T20 half-century and hit the fastest IPL century by an Indian in 35 balls. His innings secured an eight-wicket win for the Royals. He finished the IPL season with 57 runs off 33 balls against Chennai Super Kings on May 20.

He also notched a century and a half-century during the campaign. Thanks to his outstanding performances, Vaibhav has been selected for India’s U19 squad for the upcoming England tour. The series, starting on June 27, will feature five youth ODIs and two multi-day matches between India U19 and England U19.
