India A batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi was involved in a heated on-field altercation during the Tri-Nation series clash against Sri Lanka A in Dambulla on Monday, July 15. Following Sri Lanka A’s victory in a thrilling encounter that was decided by a Super Over, tensions flared as the home side celebrated their win.

The incident reportedly began when a Sri Lankan fielder exchanged words with Suryavanshi, leaving the young batter visibly frustrated. The verbal spat quickly escalated, with both players confronting each other physically. Suryavanshi pushed the opposition player as he approached the Indian batters, prompting an immediate response from the Sri Lankan cricketer.

As the situation threatened to worsen, veteran wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella intervened and stepped between the two players, helping to defuse the confrontation before it escalated further. However, the 15-year-old was still seen making a hand gesture as the Indian batters left the field after the match.
