
Just days after Vaibhav Suryavanshi grabbed attention in IPL 2026, his younger brother Aashirwad Suryavanshi has entered the spotlight with his maiden century. The 10-year-old scored 103 off 87 balls in a practice game for Cricket Academy Tajpur.
Aashirwad’s innings included 20 fours and one six, while he maintained a strike rate of 118.39. Vaibhav celebrated the achievement by sharing a heartfelt story on Instagram to congratulate his brother on his first hundred.

Meanwhile, Vaibhav enjoyed an outstanding IPL 2026 campaign. The teenage star won the Orange Cap after scoring 776 runs in 16 innings at an impressive strike rate of 237.31. He also hammered 72 sixes during the season, the highest ever by a player in a single IPL edition. The opener broke Chris Gayle’s previous record of 59 maximums set in 2012.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi Earns Maiden India Call-Up Following Stellar IPL 2026 Season
Vaibhav Suryavanshi earned his maiden India call-up after impressing with his performances in IPL 2026. The explosive batter was selected in India’s T20I squads for the upcoming series against Ireland and England. The left-hander was also picked in India’s 15-member squad for the Asian Games 2026.
Additionally, he is representing India A in the ongoing One-Day tri-series featuring Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A. Vaibhav scored 14 off 12 against Sri Lanka A and followed it up with 44 off 22 versus Afghanistan A in his first two outings.
Led by Tilak Varma, India A began the series with an eight-run victory over Sri Lanka A before losing to Afghanistan A by four runs via the DLS method in the next game. The team currently sits second on the points table.
Vaibhav is set to return to action on Monday, June 15, when India A face Sri Lanka A at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla.
