Vaibhav Suryavanshi Walks Off Disappointed After Falling Three Runs Short Of Hundred
Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi left the field disappointed after falling just three runs short of what would have been the fastest century in IPL history during the Eliminator against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in New Chandigarh on Wednesday, May 27. His remarkable innings came to an end on the last ball of the eighth over.
Facing Praful Hinge, the young left-hander tried to execute an upper cut against a short ball outside off stump. However, he could not generate enough power on the shot, and Smaran Ravichandran safely held on to the catch at third man, bringing an end to Suryavanshi’s sensational knock. Watch the video here:

Despite his explosive effort, he fell just short of surpassing the fastest IPL century record, which was set by Chris Gayle with a 30-ball hundred in 2013.
Suryavanshi’s departure brought an end to a stunning knock and left Rajasthan Royals at 125/1 after eight overs.
