Veteran cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma, were present at the India Women vs Australia Women match in the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup. The tournament’s 30th fixture took place on Sunday, June 28, at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
The couple was spotted at Lord’s Cricket Ground cheering for the team from the stands and was later seen alongside former India head coach Ravi Shastri. Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan and his wife, Sophie Shine, were also among those attending the match. Watch the video here:

Talking about the match, after choosing to bat first, the Women in Blue got off to a solid start as Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma stitched together a 66-run opening stand from 55 balls. Shafali departed after scoring 34 from 26 deliveries, while Mandhana contributed 38 off 37 balls.
Jemimah Rodrigues retired out after a 34-run knock off 28 balls, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur starred with a blistering 56 off just 27 balls, including six fours and three sixes, guiding India to 170/4 in 20 overs. A victory would secure India’s place in the semi-finals, while a loss would end their campaign in the tournament.
Virat Kohli Likely To Return To ODI Cricket Against England Next Month
Virat Kohli was sidelined from India’s three-match home ODI series against Afghanistan in June 2026 after suffering a hamstring injury. However, the star batter is expected to make his comeback in July during India’s three-match ODI series against England cricket team.
The first ODI is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, in Birmingham, followed by the second match on Thursday, July 16, in Cardiff. The final fixture will take place on Sunday, July 19, in London. In ODIs against England, the 37-year-old has played 38 matches and scored 1,397 runs at an average of 41.09, with a strike rate of 88.25.
His record includes 10 half-centuries and three hundreds. Across his overall ODI career, Kohli has amassed 14,797 runs in 311 matches, including 77 fifties and 54 centuries, with a career-best score of 183.
