Virat Kohli’s Impressive IPL 2025 Form and Retirement Announcement

Virat Kohli is currently RCB’s top run-scorer in the IPL 2025 season, having accumulated 505 runs in 11 innings at an average of 63.12 and a strike rate of 143.46. He has also scored seven half-centuries, each of which has contributed to a victory.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) sits in second place on the points table, with eight wins and 16 points from 11 matches, with Kohli playing a pivotal role in their successful campaign this season. On Monday, May 12, the cricketing icon officially announced his retirement from Test cricket.

There had been speculation about his intention to retire from the format, and the rumors have now been confirmed as Virat Kohli has officially brought his Test career to an end. Kohli played 123 Test matches for India, scoring 9230 runs at an average of 46.58, including 30 centuries and 31 half-centuries.

India is scheduled to tour England for a five-match Test series in June this year. It’s worth mentioning that Rohit Sharma also announced his retirement from Test cricket recently, meaning the team will face England without these two senior players.
