Team India star Virat Kohli reached Mumbai on Tuesday, November 25, ahead of the upcoming three-match home ODI series against South Africa. The former skipper smiled for the paparazzi at the airport before heading to his black Range Rover. Kohli sported a checkered flannel shirt with black pants, paired with a grey cap and black sunglasses.
As he got into his car, a few fans requested selfies. The 37-year-old happily stepped out again to pose for photos. A video of his arrival was shared on photojournalist Viral Bhayani’s Instagram account. You can watch the video here:

Virat Kohli most recently featured in India’s three-match ODI series in Australia last month. After being dismissed for zero in the first two games, he returned to form in the final match with an unbeaten fifty. The veteran batter struck 74* off 81 deliveries, helping India secure a nine-wicket win in Sydney. Despite the strong finish, Australia sealed the series 2-1 by clinching the opening two encounters.
“Test Cricket Misses Him”: Former U19 Colleague On Kohli’s Retirement Choice
Virat Kohli stepped away from T20Is following India’s 2024 T20 World Cup win and later ended his Test career in May this year. However, his former India U19 teammate Shreevats Goswami feels Kohli chose the wrong format to quit. Goswami believes the senior batter should have retired from ODIs instead and continued playing Test cricket.
Goswami wrote on X:
“Ideally Virat should have left playing ODIs & continued playing test cricket untill he had nothing to give. Test cricket misses him. Not just as a player but just the energy he brought, the love & passion playing for India where he made the team believe that they can win in any condition.”
