Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals are currently facing each other in Match 13 of TATA IPL 2022. RCB skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Rajasthan didn’t have a great start. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal lost his wicket in the second over. Length ball from David Willey went past Jaiswal’s defence and rattled the stumps.

For the second wicket, Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal had a good partnership. The pair added 70 runs before Padikkal got out in the 10th over. Harshal Patel deceived Padikkal with the lack of pace. The batter mistimed the lofted shot. The ball went high in the air.

Virat Kohli ran backwards and did well to grab the reverse-cup catch. Padikkal scored 37 runs off 29 balls. His knock consisted of 2 fours and 2 sixes.

Kohli should bat with an open stance initially: Wasim Akram

Former Pakistan Pacer Wasim Akram has offered some tips to Virat Kohli. Akram said that an ‘open stance’ can help Kohli in taking LBW out of the equation against pacers.

Akram said on VUSport StreamingYouTube channel: “I think Kohli should bat with an open stance initially, just for the first couple of overs to negotiate the incoming delivery. With this, the inswinging delivery will not hit his pads. He can play straight with this stance.”

Kohli had a decent start to IPL 2022. He scored unbeaten 41 runs off 29 balls against Punjab Kings. However against Kolkata Knight Riders, Umesh Yadav troubled him. Kohli outside edged a back-of-length delivery to the wicketkeeper and got out for 12 runs.
