Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batting ace Virat Kohli signed the jersey of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) all-rounder Yuvraj Chaudhary following their IPL 2025 encounter on Tuesday, May 27, at Ekana International Stadium.

The 36-year-old Kohli surpassed 600 runs this season with a quick 54-run innings against LSG, helping RCB chase down a challenging total of 228 in just 18.4 overs with six wickets remaining. Kohli’s quick 30-ball performance gave RCB a strong start and stabilized the innings even after two early wickets fell in the ninth over.

Chaudhary, a 23-year-old batting all-rounder, did not feature in any matches for the Super Giants this season. In 15 T20 games, he has scored 478 runs at an average of 47.80 and taken eight wickets.

Kohli Hits Unbeaten Fifty vs Punjab Kings in Latest Match

As Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) prepare to take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2025 on Thursday, May 29, it’s worth recalling their previous win against Shreyas Iyer’s team. In that match at Mullanpur, Kohli played a stellar unbeaten 73 off 54 balls, including seven fours and a six, helping RCB chase down a challenging target of 158 in just 18.5 overs with seven wickets remaining.

RCB will need to be at their best to overcome Punjab Kings, who topped the points table this season. Both teams are among the four contenders yet to claim an IPL title, though RCB have reached the final three times. Meanwhile, the IPL 2025 Eliminator will be held on Friday, May 30, featuring Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans, also at Mullanpur.

As of now, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are in second place on the IPL 2025 points table, tied with Punjab Kings at 19 points each.RCB’s net run rate (NRR) stands at +0.301, slightly behind Punjab Kings’ NRR of +0.372. This narrow margin places RCB in the second spot.
