Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ace batter Virat Kohli took a moment to click pictures with some of Mumbai Indians’ (MI) young talents following their 2025 IPL clash. The match, the 20th of the season, was held on Monday, April 7, at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

Batting first after being put in, RCB put on a dominant show, racking up 221/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Kohli led from the front with a composed 67 off 42 balls, while Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma added late fireworks with scores of 64 and an unbeaten 40, respectively.

In reply, MI fought hard, with Tilak Varma smashing 56 from 29 deliveries and Hardik Pandya contributing a brisk 42 off just 15 balls. However, they fell just short, managing 209/9, and lost by 12 runs. Post-match, Kohli was spotted on his phone when several MI youngsters approached him for a photo.

The veteran obliged with a smile, posing alongside Raj Bawa, Ashwani Kumar, and Satyanarayana Raju, while Robin Minz captured the moment on camera. You can watch the video here:

Meanwhile, RCB have kicked off their 2025 season on a high note, currently occupying third spot on the points table with six points from four matches. On the other hand, MI find themselves in eighth place, having secured just two points from their five outings.

Kohli shines early in IPL 2025, registers two half-centuries in four matches

Virat Kohli has begun his IPL 2025 campaign on a high note, registering two half-centuries in his first four appearances. He kicked things off with an unbeaten 59 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), followed by scores of 31 and 7 in the subsequent matches.

In RCB’s fourth outing, Kohli delivered another standout performance, scoring 67 against the Mumbai Indians (MI). With a total of 164 runs across four innings, he currently boasts an impressive average of 54.66 and a strike rate of 143.85. Up next, RCB are set to face the Delhi Capitals on Thursday, April 10.
