Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Virat Kohli shared a touching moment with former Indian cricket legend and current Rajasthan Royals (RR) head coach Rahul Dravid ahead of their IPL 2025 showdown. The two sides are set to meet in the 28th match of the season on Sunday, April 13, at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

On Saturday, April 12, RR’s official X handle posted a heartwarming video showing Kohli embracing Dravid, followed by a cheerful exchange. Royals skipper Sanju Samson also joined in, adding to the friendly interaction. The Royals captioned the video:

“Whether you’re a young one or number 18, pehle toh Rahul bhai se hi milna hai.”

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) currently sit fourth on the points table with six points from five games, while Rajasthan Royals (RR) trail in seventh place, having earned four points from an equal number of matches.

Historically, the two sides have met 32 times in the IPL, with RCB winning 15 encounters and the Royals emerging victorious in 14, while three matches ended with no result. At Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium, they’ve faced off nine times, with the Royals winning five and RCB taking four games.

Virat Kohli has featured in 31 IPL matches against Rajasthan Royals, scoring 764 runs across 30 innings at an average of 30.56 and a strike rate of 120.13. His impressive record includes four half-centuries and a century, with a top score of an unbeaten 113.

In the ongoing 2025 season, Kohli has accumulated 186 runs in five innings at an average of 46.50, including two fifties. He also continues to hold the record as the highest run-scorer in IPL history, amassing 8,190 runs from 257 matches, which includes 57 fifties and eight centuries.
