Watch – Virat Kohli Waves At His Daughter Vamika After Centurion Triumph

Team India captain Virat Kohli was seen waving hands at his daughter Vamika after a clinical win in the 1st Test against South Africa, who was present in the SuperSport Park stands. Kohli has been accompanied by his wife Anushka Sharma and his daughter, who recently turned a year older.

Meanwhile, the visiting team entered day 5 with six wickets to pick to win the match. South Africa captain Dean Elgar along with Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock resisted well but the Indian bowlers were class apart to bowl out the hosts for 191 runs and secure a 113 runs victory.

After securing India’s only fourth win on South African soil, Virat could be seen waving to his little daughter, the video of which has now gone viral on social media.

India captain Virat Kohli showered rich praise on the Bengal pacer, who has played a significant role in India’s dominance in the red-ball format of the game.

Calling Mohammed Shami one of the best three pacers at present, Kohli said:

“Absolutely world class talent (Shami). For me he’s in the best three seamers in the world at the moment. His strong wrist, his seam position and his ability to hit a length consistently.”

Virat Kohli also spoke highly of his batters, who showed determination to put runs on the board on a difficult Centurion track.

“Got off to the perfect start. Have to understand one day was washed out – shows how well we played. It’s always a difficult place to play against SA (Centurion). The discipline that the batters showed. Winning the toss, batting first overseas is a tough challenge. Credit to Mayank and KL the way they set it up. We knew we were in pole position with anything over 300-320,” Kohli concluded.

With 1-0 up in the three-match series, India play South Africa in the second Test starting January 3 (Monday) at Johannesburg.
