[WATCH]- West Indies Batter Takes Adil Rashid Apart With Five Sixes In An Over

England leg-spinner Adil Rashid was taken to the cleaners in the second T20I against West Indies on Sunday, June 8, as he conceded five sixes in a single over. The match, held at the County Ground in Bristol, saw West Indies bat first after losing the toss. Johnson Charles (47), Shai Hope (48), and Rovman Powell (34) provided steady contributions to take the visitors to 148/5 in 18 overs.

With the pitch offering plenty for the batters, West Indies needed a strong finish—and they got just that. Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd produced a late assault in the penultimate over to boost the total. Captain Harry Brook entrusted the 19th over to Adil Rashid, who had been economical until then, giving away 28 runs and picking up a wicket in his first three overs.

However, Holder launched the over with three consecutive sixes before rotating the strike. Shepherd then followed up with two towering sixes to close out the over, plundering 31 runs off it. You can watch the video here:

Harry Brook praised Rashid’s middle-over bowling after 2nd T20I win vs West Indies

During the post-match presentation, England captain Harry Brook shared his satisfaction with the team’s overall effort. Commenting on the win, he stated:

“Great start in the T20s from the boys. Yeah they had a very good finish. We stuck to our plans very well in the middle overs. When we came out to bat we knew it was a matter of two big overs. We have got a lot of depth, we also felt they were 30 runs under par with Will Jacks and Bethell coming late.”

“Gives us great confidence going into a small ground like this with four spinners and two pacers. Wood set the tone for us with a wicket first ball. Rashid bowled really well in the middle overs before getting away in his last. Really excited for the last match,” Brook added.
