India’s spin bowling all-rounder Axar Patel returned to Durham to play for a warm-up match against County XI. He previously played for Durham during the 2018-19 County Championships.
Recently, the Durham Cricket Twitter handle posted a video of the all-rounder. Axar was involved in a bizarre caught and bowled dismissal during his last stint against Warwickshire. He bowled a full delivery pitched at leg stump to Ryan Sidebottom, the last man in for Warwickshire, who chipped in the ball onto the legside.
But the ball went on to hit the short-leg fielder and then popped back to Axar Patel, who completed the catch. Axar finished the innings with 7/54.
