But his true character was displayed when he was brought back into the fray, where he took two important wickets, removing Ben Duckett and Harry Brook in one and the same over—and this stunning comeback not just proved how well Rana could bowl but also, perhaps more importantly, that he was mentally tough.

After the flurry, Rana’s initial debut has landed quite positively; he would want to make this a good one in all matches ahead. During the first ODI against England at the Vidarbha Cricket Association in Nagpur, Team India’s debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal stunned everyone with his athletic catch to send back Ben Duckett. Jaiswal’s wonderful catch really helped Harshit Rana in claiming his first ODI wicket.

The action took place in the tenth over when Duckett attempted to play a pull shot off the delivery by Rana, but the left-handed batsman miscued it, sending the ball towards the mid-wicket.

With great athleticism, Jaiswal raced back and full-length dived to pull off the catch. Ecstatic with joy, Jaiswal ran towards Rana, who was celebrating the wicket of his first ODI scalp.

That catch speaks volumes for his athleticism and reflexes and will be played on many highlight reels in the future. The day began ever so well for Rana, with the debutant fast bowler making an immediate impact.
