“When Ramiz Raja Leaves PCB”- Mohammad Amir On Making Comeback For Pakistan
Mohammad Amir Ramiz Raja

Mohammed Amir was one of the most lethal bowlers when he was at its peak. He was the hero of Champions Trophy 2017 win of the Pakistan team. The famous spell of Amir in CT 2017 Final is still etched in memory of cricket fans. However, Amir lost his path due to poor fitness. He didn’t have a good relationship with PCB chairman Ramiz Raja.

In an Interview with Samaa TV , Mohammad Amir was asked if he would return back from retirement and represent Pakistan again. Amir stated that he would announce his availability when Ramiz Raja leaves PCB. Both of them don’t share a good bond with each other.

Mohammad Amir said, ” Our relationship goes back a long way and it won’t end. Everyone knows Ramiz Raja’s views about me so I don’t think this is the right time to consider taking back retirement. When Ramiz Raja leaves PCB, I will make an announcement about my availability if needed.”

Amir further said that no bowler in Pakistan has the skillset like him. Amir also praised his positive mindset towards cricket. “The skills that I have don’t compare to anyone along with my mindset. I don’t think there are any comparisons. I was the only bowler who was in the ICC rankings. Even when I was dropped after the World Cup, I was still in the rankings for a good year and a half.”, Amir added.

“Early to talk about test return “- Amir

However a few days back Mohammad Amir ruled out the possibility of returning to test cricket. He revealed that he is enjoying playing for Gloucestershire as of now and not thinking about a comeback. Amir revealed that he hasn’t played any first class game in the last four years.

Amir said,  “It is too early to talk about a Test return. You never know and things can be changed but for now I’m enjoying playing for Gloucestershire. I did not play any first-class cricket in the last four years but I am getting better after the first game and just trying to help the boys and do well for them.”
