The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season has reached its business end with the Gujarat Titans taking on the Rajasthan Royals in the finals of the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Ahead of the mega-clash, former Indian cricketer, Ravi Shastri hosted the closing ceremony of the tournament.

The fans went gaga when Ravi Shastri in his beaming voice shouted, “Kemcho, Ahmedabad?” to kickstart the ceremony. It was a 50-minute long ceremony at the world’s biggest cricket ground.

It began with Ravi Shastri announcing that the IPL has created a world record for the biggest T-shirt – an official certificate was presented to the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and general secretary Jay Shah.

Ravi Shastri’s return to the commentary box has been very well welcomed by the fans. The former Indian cricketer had to a break, as he was the head coach of the Indian senior men’s team. However, as his tenure ended, Shastri made a comeback to the commentary box.

The fans were pleased to see him hosting the closing ceremony and in the English commentary panel for the finals of the Indian Premier League 2022 season.

Ranveer Singh and AR Rahman’s electrifying performances light up the IPL 2022 closing ceremony

Actor Ranveer Singh and AR Rahman performed at the closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League 2022 season. Ranveer took a lap around the stadium accompanied by fellow dancers. He performed on several songs including “Jeetega Jeetega” from 83 Movie.

This was followed by AR Rahman performing with Mohit Chouhan, Neeti Mohan, Blaaze, Sivamani, Sasha Tripathi, and Shweta Mohan. Ranveer joined the group toward the end of the performance, for the song Jai Ho from the Slumdog Millionaire.
