Delhi Capitals registered a comprehensive win over UP Warriorz in a one-sided affair played at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai on 7 March 2023 in the WPL 2023.
Chasing down a massive target of 212 runs to win, Alyssa Healy looked in brilliant touch putting pressure on DC bowlers before Jess Jonassen grabbed two wickets dismissing Alyssa Healy and Kiran Navagire. Kapp dismissed Seharwat to leave UP Warriorz in big trouble.

Deepti Sharma struggled to get the ball away with disciplined bowling by Delhi Capitals bowlers. A stunning catch by Radha Yadav at long-on ended the innings for Deepti Sharma. Deepti tried to take an aerial route before Radha dived in 11th over to leave UP Warriorz struggling. Tahila McGrath played the lone hand for UP Warriorz remaining not out on 90 off 50 balls while Devika Vaidya made 23. Vaidya and McGrath added 49 runs for the 5th wicket.
Delhi Capitals batters dominate
UP Warriorz captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and decided to field first. Shabnim Ismail was included in the playing XI replacing Grace Harris. Meg Lanning looked in sublime touch right from the word go putting pressure on the UP Warriorz bowlers. On the other hand, Shafali Verma showed some lovely intent keeping the momentum going for the Delhi Capitals team. At the end of the first six overs, Delhi Capitals made 62 for 0.
After the field restrictions, a stunning diving catch by Kiran Navgire at long-off ended the innings for Shafali Verma. The incident happened during the 7th over as Verma tried to hit a big shot and was brilliantly caught by Navgire. Tahila McGrath made the much-needed breakthrough for UP Warriorz as Verma and Lanning added 67 runs for the opening wicket.
Meg Lanning looked in sensational touch keeping the pressure on the UP bowlers completing her fifty off 32 balls. It was a dominating performance by Delhi Capitals batters as Jess Jonassen and Rodrigues showed class keeping the pressure on UP Warriorz bowlers. Thanks to brilliant knocks by Jonassen and Rodrigues, Delhi Capitals made 211 for 4 in 20 overs.
