Wriddhiman Saha has sustained a hamstring tear during the ongoing IPL 2020. The injury problem for the Indian team continues ahead of the Australian tour. Saha is part of team Indian for the 4 match Test series which will begin on December 17 at Adelaide.

The wicket-keeper batsman has been a regular feature in the India Test side in the last few years. Though, Rishabh Pant has been preferred over him in Test matches away from home. Now it is believed that Saha might not be part of the Indian side for the Test series due to his injury.

Wriddhiman Saha Doubtful For Australia Series

Saha did not play in the last two matches for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL. The SRH skipper David Warner today at the toss confirmed about Saha sustaining a hamstring tear. All eyes once again will be on BCCI once the medical reports of Saha are revealed.

The cricket board has already been criticised for the way they have supervised the injury concerns of Rohit Sharma. The star Indian batsman was omitted from the India squad for the Australian tour after the initial report given by the MI physio. However, only a few days later Rohit was fully fit and featured in IPL matches which raised a lot of eyebrows.

Coming back to Saha, it is believed that he stretched his groin while batting in the league match against Delhi Capitals. The wicket-keeper batsman took a risk and featured in the next match where he suffered a hamstring tear.

Meanwhile, if Saha has a grade 1 hamstring tear he is expected to play after a break of 4 weeks. If this is the case he might be available for the Test series against Australia. Just in case the injury is serious and Saha has a grade 2 tear he is suspected to be out of action for 2 months and will miss the series Down Under.
