The ICC World Test Championship between India and New Zealand has been marred by rain. The play on day 5 too was delayed because of a passing shower. When the play resumed, the players walked out on the field looking to push for a result.

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah who looked slightly off-color on day 3 was seen rushing back to the dressing room. Apparently, Bumrah was wearing the wrong jersey and had to sprint back to change it. India and New Zealand are both wearing specially designed jerseys to mark the occasion of the World Test Championship finals.

The name of the country should take the center stage instead of the sponsors’ logo. The regular test uniform of the Indian team has the sponsor’s logo at the center. As per the rules, the player has to wear a specially designed jersey. But it seems like Jasprit Bumrah forgot and came out on the field in his regular Test cricket uniform and therefore had to run back to the dressing room to put on the new jersey.

New Zealand in solid position on Day 5.

With Day 1 and Day 4 completely washed out and the rest of the two days witnessing curtailed play, both the teams will look to push hard for a win on the reserved day of this World Test Championship Final between India and New Zealand.

The Kiwis look to be ahead of India at this point in time as they are trailing by less than 100 runs and have 7 wickets in hand. Skipper Kane Williamson is at the crease along with Henry Nicholls. India on the other hand has only managed to pick up 1 wicket so far on day 5 of the test.
