In the summit clash against New Zealand, Virat Kohli looked impressive with the bat on the second day of the game as the first day was washed out. He scored 44 brilliant runs before getting out against his Royal Challengers Bangalore comrade Kyle Jamieson.

The wait for Virat Kohli’s hundred continues as he has not scored a century in the last 45 innings played across all three formats of the game. His last Test century came against Bangladesh in Kolkata. In the year 2020, he failed to score any century across any format.

In the limited, over format, Virat Kohli’s last century came against West Indies where he scored unbeaten 114 runs at Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. He is just 6 centuries behind Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of 49 centuries and has been stuck at 43 centuries since 14 August 2019.

Skipper Virat Kohli has played 14 matches in World Test Championship Tournament scoring only two hundred and four Half-centuries with the highest score of unbeaten 254. Comparing it with the top run-scorer in the tournament Virat is far behind them as Marnus Labuschagne has scored 1675 runs and England captain Joe Root is with 1660 runs and ranked second.

Although Virat hasn’t been in his best form in WTC, his overall stats in Test cricket is sensational. The Indian captain has scored 7490 runs in just 91 matches at a remarkable average of 52.37 including 27 Tons and 25 fifties.

So far young Kyle Jamieson has been the best bowler for the Kiwis in the summit clash. He has bowled deliveries at good line and length. Kyle picked the wicket of Rohit Sharma on the delayed first day and Virat Kohli on the delayed second day. Virat was the first player to get out on Day 2 he just scored 44 runs including only 1 boundary and scored the rest of the runs in single doubles.

Just after Kohli’s dismissal, Inform Indian wicketkeeper got out by the same deadly bowler named Kyle Jamieson and India was down and out at 156/5.
